A Sedimentation Study for the north end of Vaseux Lake was completed in early 2022.
Vaseux Lake Water Quality & Other Issues
Thanks to a $25,000 grant awarded to the Vaseux Lake Stewardship Association, a 2-year water quality assessment was done and the report was completed in early 2019.

Ongoing Water Quality Analysis and Testing
In the spring of 2020, the Vaseux Lake Stewardship Association applied for a $6000.00 grant from the Okanagan Basin Water Board to conduct water quality analysis on Vaseux Lake over a two year period.

Flooding

Wildlife
Every year in British Columbia up to 800 bears are destroyed! Garbage, bird feeders and tree fruits can attract bears to your yard, family, and neighbourhood. Once a bear becomes used to human food sources it becomes habituated, usually resulting in the bear being destroyed. It is important to keep wildlife wild and communities safe.
LOVE the geese? Please don’t love them TOO much! Vaseux Lake has more than its fair share of geese, which is why goose eggs are ‘addled’ in the fall. Learn more about the addling program:
